Karen Homes for Rent; Contemporary Living
Karen is depicted by its leafy, serene and tranquil environment. It is located to the southwest of the Central Business District (CBD) and can be accessed using Langa’ta road or Ngong’ Road.
The area was named after the Danish author of the book 'Out of Africa', Karen Blixen, whose farm was where the affluent suburb is located today. Remy Martin, who bought the farm in 1931 to convert it into residential plots, confirmed that he named it after Blixen. Blixen's residential home is still standing and is now one of the tourist attractions in the area. The suburb is surrounded by the Nairobi National Park, Bomas of Kenya and Ngong’ forest, which attract both local and foreign tourists.
Nakumatt Prestige and Galleria shopping malls are within walking distance, which makes shopping accessible and convenient. The area's main shopping centre also serves as a good marketplace to get your household items.
